Carefree Infant Classrooms
Our infants are CAREFREE!!! Babies learn through everyday activities and go with the flow in their ever changing experiences and schedules. Schedules are based off of parent requests so each infant has his/her home schedule supported at DMP. Our curriculum is modified to fit the three general developmental stages in the first year of life: supported sitter, sitter/crawler and stander/walker.
Teacher directed experiences throughout the day are repetitive and involve simple interaction through play. Each week we incorporate the following 5 learning areas: Learning Centers, Literacy, Music & Movement, Creative Art and Verbal/Non-Verbal Communication. Teacher Tips are provided each week to ensure the continuation of learning for our teachers as well.
Our infant classrooms have a 1:4 ratio, with 3 teachers and 9 infants making full enrollment.
Determined Toddler 1’s Classrooms
Our Toddler 1’s are DETERMINED!!! Toddlers learn through exploration, experiences and repetition. Our classrooms have the same schedule everyday, creating an environment that is predictable and comfortable. Curriculum is created by our Lead Teachers and provides developmentally appropriate activities designed to help 1 year olds reach their developmental milestones at a pace that is appropriate for all children.
While learning through play, every week activities incorporate Learning Centers, Literacy, Music & Movement, Creative Art and Verbal/Non-Verbal Communication and STEM.
Our classrooms have a 1:6 ratio, with 2 teachers and 12 toddlers making full enrollment.
Curious Toddler 2’s Classrooms
Our Toddler 2’s are CURIOUS about how the world works and their place in it. They are eager to learn and try new things. Learning happens through movement, play, relationships, repetition and exploration. Independence and confidence are gained as children start family style meals, potty training and playing in learning centers with their friends.
Lesson plans are created by the Lead Teachers and include activities that foster creativity, language and literacy, physical development, STEM, routine and communication skills.
Our classrooms have a 1:7 ratio, with 1 teacher and 7 toddlers making full enrollment.
Wild Preschool 3’s Classrooms
Our Preschool 3’s are WILDLY independent learning through play and repetition. Classrooms are highly productive and busy as children are talking, building, pretending, creating and asking questions.
Lead Teachers create lesson plans that meet developmental milestones and allow for individual growth. Activities are centered around social/emotional, language/literacy, math, STEM and creative arts skills.
Preschool 3’s classrooms have a 1:12 ratio while most classrooms have 1 teacher and 10 preschoolers making full enrollment.
Brave Preschool 4’s Classrooms
Our Preschool 4’s are BRAVE and confident taking healthy risks, trying new things, problem solving and expressing their ideas and emotions. Their classrooms are set up to encourage exploration, promote creativity and foster positive friendships.
Lesson plans are created by the Lead Teachers and are written to provide activities that meet developmental milestones through independent play, small group lesson and large group instruction.
Preschool 4’s classrooms have a 1:12 ratio, each room having 1 teacher and 12 preschoolers making full enrollment.
Adventurous Pre-K Classrooms
Our Pre-K program is ADVENTUROUS! The children are eager for adventure, enjoying taking safe risks, trying new ideas and methods of learning. Classrooms are a safe place to try new things and make mistakes as we learn and get ready for Kindergarten.
Lesson plans are created by the teaching team and focus on independence, hands-on exploration, movement and play. Language, literacy, math, STEM, creative arts and physical developmental milestones are all part of every day.
Pre-K classrooms have a 1:12 ration, each room having 1 teacher and 12 pre-k students making full enrollment.
School Age Explorer Classrooms
Our school age students, Kindergarten through 4th grade, explore the world inside and outside of their classroom. During the school year they’re in different elementary schools coming together in the afternoon to learn and grow together. Over the summer they spend half of their time outside the walls of Dandelions exploring the world on field trips.
